Roof tile walls

The roof tiles on this building are commonly used here in the Netherlands, though I have never seen them applied on walls like it was done here in this street in Apeldoorn.

It seems quite expensive to me, though practical as well in terms of weather-proof and I think it looks rather neat.

  1. Wel apart inderdaad. Vraag me af of het veel lawaai maakt met heftige regenbuien.

  3. This is new to me, too. There must be some good reason for using these tiles on the walls. They make for an interesting look along with all the glass. Very modern.

  4. We also use these roof tiles but only on the roof. I've never seen them on the walls.
Architects want to play fun sometimes (usually) .. :)

  6. It certainly is an unusual look. You periodically see them used here as well for roofs, but not walls!
